Hiram Johnson California State Office Building, home of the Preschool Center

The Infant-Toddler Center is located in the California Public Utilities Commission Building at 505 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco, California 94102. This center is where C5 started in 1985 by parents in the building who wanted a child development center near their work. It is one of the first such centers in San Francisco.

In addition to the Infant-Toddler Center, the building houses the office of the Director of the Public Utilities for the State of California and support services for the public utilities and for the public Utility commissioners. It also houses hearing rooms for the Public Utilities Commission.

The Building also has a large cafeteria, training rooms, and a spacious Central Plaza with trees and numerous seating areas and play space for children on special occasions.

The Preschool Center is located in the Hiram Johnson California State Office Building in Suite 2400 at 455 Golden Gate Avenue in San Francisco, California 94102. The building was erected in 1999.

In addition to the C5 Children’s School preschool Center, the building houses an office for the Governor, the California Supreme Court, State District Courts, offices for some State Senators and Representatives, the Attorney General, the Administration of the Courts for over 700 courts in California, and offices for the State Department of Justice.

The building also has a large cafeteria and a conference center, with an auditorium and several training and conference rooms. The Great Hall, centrally located in the building is the site of the school’s annual exhibit and many special activities throughout the year.
