C5 Jobs
Join a professional staff, dedicated parents, and a supportive community by working at C5 Children's School. See Announcements, below, for current Job openings.
Our innovative and comprehensive program is outlined in the other areas of this website.
All of the positions at C5 require creative, energetic, well-trained, experienced, and dedicated professionals.
For classroom teachers, expect to have a minimum of 2 years of successful experience in a responsible position in early childhood development and the 12 units of California State required Early Childhood Education courses. Infant or toddler teachers must also have completed the three course credit hours in infant and toddler development.
If your Early Childhood Education coursework was not in the California college or university system and is not part of a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Early Childhood or a related field, you may have your transcript evaluated by the California Professional Development Project to determine if your coursework meets the minimum requirements to work at C5, as mentioned above.
The Professional Development Project is located on the campus of San Francisco City College. It is located at 50 Phelan Avenue, San Francisco, CA. 94112. Phone: 415-452-4605. Mention that you are applying for a job in Early Childhood Education in San Francisco.
We also desire that candidates for all teaching positions at C5 have completed a college or university course in infant-toddler development. Teachers at C5 may work with children in different age learning groups, briefly or by assignment, and can, on occasion, move with a learning group to another room as the children get older. For example, a teacher may be hired to begin in the toddler room with children who are 1.5 years old, move with them to the preschool classroom when they are 2.5 years old, and continue with them for three more years, until they go to kindergarten at about 5.5 years old.
To apply for a position, send a current resume, transcripts of your course work, and a cover letter that includes a comprehensive statement of your thoughts and feelings about working in a Reggio Emilia inspired program.
